Patience

Good things rarely happen overnight

The physical changes you are going to make will not happen overnight. The mental changes you are going to make will not happen overnight.

Patience is a virtue.

The financial backbone of the fitness industry is selling folks on the idea that if they just do “one simple trick” or buy x supplement, that they will achieve *put any fitness goal here*.

The industry prints money off of taking advantage of people and their lack of patience. If it was that simple, everybody you know would be walking down the street with their idea of a “perfect” body.

Just remember… it is not that easy

To invoke an old adage, “Rome wasn’t built in a day” and your body won’t be either. Keeping this in mind throughout your journey is essential to mentally handling the ebb and flow of the progress you make each day. I get it though, there was a time in my life where I thought if I bought the “MASS GAINER” powders at GNC that I would put on lots of muscle without putting in all the work. I’ll be the first to tell you that’s not how it works.

Remembering to be patient and valuing consistency over perfection will be two of the greatest tools you can have throughout your journey.

Doubt can and will creep in.

Doubt that what you’re doing is working.

Doubt that you’ll ever
reach your goal.

Doubt that it will be
worth it.

Stick to your goals and you’ll see that every moment of doubt was worth it. Looking back at your journey and seeing all that you’ve accomplished is one of the greatest joys you can take from fitness. You just have to be patient.

If you ever find yourself struggling to keep going and stay the course, shoot me an email or a dm over on instagram. I’m here to help.
